Dingo is the debut LP from Berlin artist DJ Dingo Susi (Benjamin Wild). Despite the name "DJ", Dingo Susi doesn't make electronic music, but rather guitar driven bedroom post-punk. Wild's sound is saturated in dense textural atmosphere and features cold, disaffected vocals.
While the music isn't really electronic, "Keep Cool Things" sounds a like a 90s house dance track mixed with Deerhunter, while "Birds and Seeds" sounds like a pitched down rave on cough syrup. "All Is Ever Over" is a more straightforward post-punk tune with a heavy guitar riff, while "Monterey 95" and "My Thoughts At Home" show Wild's penchant for layered atmosphere.
